Currently, Indiana imposes an income cap on families seeking private school vouchers. Braun has voiced support for removing that cap, effectively creating a universal school choice system. His education transition team includes prominent school choice advocates like Caitlin Bell and Robert Enlow.

Additionally, Braun is expected to have unprecedented federal support for expanding school choice. The Trump administration, which backed school choice during its first term, has signaled plans to double down on the issue if given the chance.
