Indianapolis Public Schools has faced criticism as a video of a student being abused has gone viral.

The video shows one student being attacked while the teacher seemingly records it with approval. At one point, even yelling, “That’s right… You get him.” A lawsuit describes the incident as a “fight club” and claims that the boy, a special needs student, suffered months of abuse, and the school failed to take the allegations seriously until the video’s accidental discovery.

In light of the video and lawsuit, IPS Superintendent Aleesia Johnson released a video addressing the incident in which she describes changes and reviews policies to ensure a similar incident doesn’t occur.
